  • Derci is a brand and infrastructure partner that provides mobile, fully contained aquamation units (“dercitoriums”) and the support to operate them. We license the brand and lease the equipment, while licensed funeral homes remain the operators of all services.

  • No. Derci retains ownership of the units. Operators pay only for delivery and installation. Maintenance, servicing, and technical support are provided by Derci.

  • No. Dercitoriums are mobile and designed to be placed outside or behind your existing facility. No interior construction is required.

  • Your licensed staff operates the unit after receiving training from Derci. We provide operational guidance and ongoing support.

  • The licensed funeral home is responsible for obtaining all required state, county, and municipal approvals to offer aquamation. Derci will not operate equipment until regulatory clearance is confirmed.

  • Operators retain an equal or in some cases, a majority share of revenue from the aquamation services. Derci receives a percentage as part of the lease and brand partnership. Specifics are finalized in definitive agreements..

  • Yes. The pilot program requires a 24 month lease with a minimum of 30 aquamations per 30-day cycle. This ensures consistent utilization and revenue alignment.

  • No. Operators agree to use Derci-branded accessories for all aquamation services to maintain a consistent consumer experience.

  • In the event of a declared emergency, Derci may temporarily sublease your dercitorium to authorized agencies. Operators receive a 5% fee on gross revenue from these subleases.

  • Derci runs coordinated marketing and PR campaigns for all franchisees, starting at the date the equipment is ordered. This includes brand promotion, consumer education, and local awareness initiatives.

  • Operators provide feedback and may participate in pilot testing of Derci software. Participation helps improve operational tools and is expected in exchange for waiving all franchise fees, deposits, etc.

  • Yes. Because Derci retains ownership of the unit and the pilot program is structured as a lease, the equipment can be removed for a fee if you decide not to continue. After the lease term is complete you have the option to buy out, extend, or terminate. This reduces financial risk.
